World Migratory Bird Day

Presenting images (art and photos/videos/augmented reality) and audios and trivia about local birds, as well as the migratory ones who travel long distances to enjoy a vacation in Manabi!  What do birds eat?  Where do they sleep? Where are they safe and where are they in danger? Do we humans consider what nature needs?   
Lisa's last exposition invited others to step into her world.  This next one invites the visitor to walk in the footsteps of the birds.

Tour of the Portland Bight Discoveryh Centre (PBDC) under the World Migratory Bird Day Theme. This will include a presentation of the importance of the Portland Bight in Jamaica to migratory bird and guided tour of the PBDC which includes the boardwalks through the mangrove, Dry Forests Nursery and Interpretation Centre and Ponds and serene boatride under the mangrove canopy. While on the tour guess while get chances to use binoculars and observe and identify shore and other migratory birds within the area, as well as games and chances to win prizes.

Go booth to booth to learn exciting information about geology, nature, birds, animals and earn a prize at the end! See raptors, prairie dogs, reptiles and other rescued wildlife up close.  Activities also include nature themed games and prizes, as well as face painting.  This event is cost-free. We will hold a birdcamp in May at the Casa del Maíz, in September we will have a birdwatching workshop within the Biology Week and in December the third bird festival in the municipality of Berriozábal, Chiapas.
