Environment for the Americas has three outstanding Summer Youth interns who dedicated their summer to designing an educational garden in partnership with the US Forest Service. Located at their high school in Cicero, IL, the interns organized the garden layout throughout their internship. They lead 20-25 fellow students in various gardening tasks, educating them about the significance of native versus invasive species and attracting pollinators like Monarch butterflies. Additionally, they focus on the birds visiting the garden and procure materials such as mulch and rocks to enhance its design.
