World Migratory Bird Day

Join us as we pull out all the stops for World Migratory Bird Day!  We will fill our visitor center and back patio area with family friendly activities.  Hotdog lunches will be for sale for $5 as well as a baked goods sale.  Bluebird box kits will be for sale for $10 with a booth to help you build your own bluebird box!  We have invited many of our partnering agencies and clubs to help us put on an exciting day for you.  Come on out to help us celebrate the wonders of our bird world....we also have some fantastic gifts and prizes for you!

Here is a list of activities:

Tennessee NWR - Archery range open, Great Migration Adventure Game, Photo booth, Bluebird Box building station, meet a snake (for real)
Land Between the Lakes - Live Raptors, learn about hawks and owls
Friends of Tennessee NWR - Bird Mask craft station, hummingbird swing and other bird crafts, hotdog stand
Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - Will have their large mobile museum onsite, little ones archery game
UT Martin Wildlife Society - Pollinator Bingo in the garden, Show and tell wildlife station
National Guard - Go cart races, inflatable bouncy games
Civil Air Patrol - TBD
NPS/Fort Donelson National Battlefield - Dress up like a civil war soldier
